A historic home for modern wellness

Our studio is housed in a beautifully restored 1927 Spanish Colonial Revival building that began as the Bank of Italy, serving the community through the 1950s. Step inside and you'll find history woven into every detail.


The original bank vault remains intact—now serving as our esthetician's private treatment space, a quiet sanctuary within a sanctuary. But it's the art that stops people in their tracks.


Dominating one wall is a breathtaking 48-foot mural by acclaimed artist David Choe, known for his work with Facebook, Vice, and installations around the world. When labarre's founder, Lisa Alberino, discovered the mural hidden beneath layers of paint, she had it meticulously restored—bringing this vibrant piece of street art history back to life. People come from all over just to see it. Many stay for class and discover something even more powerful: a space where movement becomes art, where rhythm restores, and where they can return to themselves.

We Know What It's Like to Feel Stuck in Your Head

labarre was founded by Lisa Alberino and has been a beloved community space for over eight years. In 2024, Julie Saccento took ownership with a vision to deepen what labarre could be—a true sanctuary for people who feel stuck in their heads and disconnected from their bodies.


Julie saw too many capable, thoughtful people moving through life on autopilot: efficient but not intentional, busy but not present. She's evolving labarre to meet them exactly where they are, with music-driven classes, kind coaching, and a space designed to help them feel like themselves again.


We've been there. We know what it's like to crave calm but be trained for speed. To want clarity but override your own cues. To wonder if ease is even possible when you carry as much as you do.


That's why every detail at labarre is designed with intention: the lighting that soothes instead of overstimulates, the playlists chosen to carry you emotionally and physically, the coaching that removes guesswork and celebrates honest choices.


Our team doesn't just teach classes—we guide you back to yourself. With empathy, expertise, and a deep respect for what your body already knows. You're not a project to us. You're a whole person who deserves to feel at home in your own life.

Getting started at labarre is simple, welcoming, and designed to meet you exactly where you are.


STEP 1: Choose Your First Class
Browse our schedule and pick a Balance, Bold, or Breathe class that fits your week. Not sure where to start? Balance is home base for most new members.


STEP 2: Book Your Spot
Reserve online through our website or the Walla app. We'll send you everything you need to know before you arrive.


STEP 3: Arrive & Settle In
Arrive 5-10 minutes early. We'll welcome you warmly, show you around, and answer any questions. All you need to bring is yourself (and a pair of grip socks - we also have some for purchase!)


STEP 4: Let the Music Lead
When class begins, the beat carries you. Our coaching is clear and kind. Your choices are celebrated. And for the next 45-60 minutes, you get to just be—moving, breathing, feeling.


STEP 5: Build Your Rhythm
Come back 2, 3, or more times a week. Return to the pillar that serves you. Let the consistency become the transformation. Presence is a practice, and we hold the space for yours.
